What to Expect:
Our youngest drop-off age group - we recommend this program to children who love being outdoors in a play-based environment. This program is run by our TFA Mentor, and Certified Early Childhood Educator, Danielle McHugh. These kiddos engage in meaningful play - for the entirety of their program! Danielle is very experienced in guiding and nurturing their natural curiosities, as well as providing provocations to help inspire them to be confident, independent, and kind humans. Full day participants get some quiet time in the afternoons to read story, lay in a hammock, or take breaks in our cozy warming spaces as needed.
We facilitate long stretches of purposeful play which follows our beliefs that play should be:
Freely chosen and self-directed
Where the process is more important than the product
Where adults do not dictate or structure the outcome of the play
Should be intrinsically motivated by the children involved
